CEO Welcome

Hello, dear friend! I am so glad you’ve decided to check out the website of the Evansville Rescue Mission (ERM) today.  Thanks so much for stopping by to see what is happening throughout our different ministries.  Without a doubt, we’re sure you’ll find a ton of useful information within our site.

CEO Welcome

You know, it is amazing that for all these 96 years throughout the Mission’s history, the ministries we offer have been successful because friends like you care to get involved, roll their sleeves up, get their hands dirty, and go to work for the Kingdom of Christ.  There is absolutely no doubt that we would not be able to do the things we do, and help the people that we’re able to help, if it weren’t for our donors, our volunteers, our prayer warriors, and our friends who invest so much into our ministries.  From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for the role that you play.

If you’re still trying to decide if the ERM is a ministry organization that you might want to volunteer with or donate to, please give us a chance to show you what we’re all about.  Let us give you a snapshot of the many ways our team invests into the lives of so many people each and every day.  Call our office, talk to our ministry staff, and take a close look at the information presented on our website.  We have no doubt that you’ll be excited about what you see and what you learn.  We know you will find out that, for these 96 years behind us and for the next 96 in front of us, we simply want to share the life-changing message that “JESUS SAVES” with every person we possibly can.

Welcome to the Evansville Rescue Mission!  God bless you!

As I was walking around the campus of Olivet Nazarene University this morning, I saw a phrase that I really liked on the side of a Physical Plant van, which aptly articulates the mission of that unit of the University: “Protecting the First Impression!” Those who work in that area literally know that their role is to make the place look great, operate smoothly and efficiently, and to be “ready” for clients, customers, guests, and students. Through the years, our emphasis of the importance of this function, and also of...
